Mr. VasiKarla SheshuKumar faced persistent challenges on his 1.5- acre farm, including: Pest and disease issues that hindered crop growth. Low yields and poor net returns from paddy cultivation, which only brought in ₹32,000 annually. These issues highlighted the need for a more innovative, diversified, and sustainable approach to farming. Determined to overcomethese obstacles, Mr. SheshuKumar participated in a trainingprogram on Integrated Organic Farming (IOF) at KVK Gaddipally.

Mr. Bathini Anjaiah is a 36-year-old progressive farmer from Lingala Village, Penpahad Mandal, in Suryapet District, Telangana. He cultivates 2.5 acres of mulberry, 2 acres of paddy, and 0.5 acres of groundnut. With a focus on sericulture, he had been rearing silkworms and growing mulberry over several cycles each year. However, traditional practices posed multiple constraints to achieving sustainable productivity.

Mr. Veeraboina Lingaiah, a progressive farmer from Macharam village, had been cultivating cotton using traditional practices on his lighttextured soils. Despite his efforts, he faced several agronomic challenges: ·Low yields: Yield stagnated at around 7.5 quintals per acre ·Poor fibre quality resulted in lower market prices ·Imbalanced nutrient use caused inadequate soil nutrition and reliance on excessive chemical inputs ·Crop health issues increased the vulnerability of cotton crop to pests and diseases These constraints limited his productivity, profitability, and soil health in the long run.
