Details of the Activitiy:
SAIRD-KVK, Gaddipally conducted Field day on HDPS cotton at Tirumalagiri mandal, Suryapet district. In this programme initially D. Adarsh, SMS (Plant Protection) explained the importance of the High-density planting system especially in the light and medium soils and explained why it is a boon to the Rainfed cotton farming and also the direct benefit transfer associated with the project. In addition, he explained the Pneumatic planter, Rotary shredder and also explained the best pest management practices to be followed and the importance of the installation of Pheromone traps, sticky traps and spraying of neem oil in the IPM component. Advisory on the cotton plant residue management was given. Later, Rasi seeds Project officer, young professionals and farmers visited the cotton field.
