Title: Workshop and interaction meeting on HDPS & CS under Special Project on Cotton (ICAR – CICR) entitled “Targetting technologies to agro ecological zones Large scale demonstration of best practices to enhance cotton productivity

Details of the Activity: KVK scientist organised an interaction meeting on Special project on cotton for implementation of the project for the Kharif 2024-25 at PACS, Suryapet on 29.05.2024.

In this meeting D. Naresh Senior Scientist & Head (I/c), addressed the Agriculture Officers regarding the guidelines of the project and detailed about the spacings that must be adopted i.e High Density Planting system with a spacing of 90 X 15 cm and Closer spacing with 90 X 30 cms and the suitable soils on which the technologies to be implemented and priority to be given for selection of small and Marginal farmers for this technology. The selection of villages should be on a cluster basis for smooth functioning of the operations and mentioned regarding the selection of farmers based on the criteria mentioned by ICAR-CICR, Nagpur and collection of farmers details necessary for this project for the purpose of DBT. In this meeting D Adarsh SMS Plant Protection explained about IPDM, INM and mechanisation in HDPS & CS.
