SAIRD-KVK, Gaddipally Scientists have organised the Live Telecast of 17th Instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme which was organised in Varanasi. During this programme PM addressed the farmers and said that agriculture will play a big role in making 21st century India the third largest economic power in the world. I consider farmers, women, youth and poor strong pillars of ‘Viksit Bharat’. Also

that the farmers will be sensitized about good agricultural practices, new emerging technologies in the agricultural field, practising climate resilient agriculture, etc. Later the Prime Minister distributed the certificates to more than 30,000 SHGs trained as Krishi Sakhis to work as para extension workers. KVK Senior Scientist and Head (I/c) D. Naresh, translated the words mentioned by PM and also explained that under the scheme, the farmers are given a direct payment of Rs 6000 a year. This amount is transferred in three equal installments of Rs 2000 every four months. The money is transferred to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.
