Activity: In this programme Sri.M.C.V.Prasad Garu, Natural Farming Farmer and Founder of Prakruthi Vanam participated as chief guest of the program and inagurtaed the exhibition of Natural products at Kisan Mela.Later at the farmers’ meeting he suggested that every farmer should do small area of natural farming and harvest crops for their family’s needs and maintain their health. He said that there is a good market for natural products by rearing Desi cows and making use of their dung urine and using natural methods to make agriculture profitable. KVK Program Coordinator (I/C) D.Naresh said that in collaboration with ATARI Hyderabad, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, farmers are being encouraged by organizing farmer training and awareness programs on natural farming. Sri Madan Gupta of R.S.S Gou Seva Vibhag spoke about importantance of natural farming and cow based by products preparation etc. Afternoon session A.Kiran SMS-Soil Science explained in detail about the concept steps involved in natural farming.The components of natural farming i.e minimum tillage , cover crops , Mulching ,mixed cropping, inter crops, traditional local cultiver seeds were discussed. Organic inputs preparations such as beejamruthm, jeevamruth, ghanajeeva amruth, neemastram, waste decomposer. Use of green manures, vermicompost and biofertilizers for soil health management through physical, chemical and biological methods were explained to trainees.
