On-farm testing is used to conduct comparative studies in farmers’ fields to understand which of the technologies tested is more suitable, and cost-effective to the resources available in the district.
This is a participatory study where the farmers’ perspective is given the most importance. The results of such studies are made available to the farmers later.

Women play a crucial role in agriculture and other land-based activities, as many operations are carried out by them. The KVK recognizes the importance of uplifting the livelihoods of rural women and empowering them with knowledge and skills. Through training programs and workshops, KVK helps women learn about appropriate technologies that can improve their farms and increase their productivity.

Frontline demonstration (FLD) is a powerful tool that helps farmers improve their crop yield. Farmers often lack knowledge of scientific production methods, leading to low yields and high cultivation costs.
FLD demonstrates new crop production and protection technologies as well as management practices in the farmer’s field.

Trainings are conducted so that farmers can gain a better understanding of their role in agricultural development and the potential benefits of farming enterprises.
A total of 109 training programmes (on & off campus) were conducted during the year 2021 where 4087 farmers, rural youth and extension personnel’s were benefited under different disciplines.
