Dr. Ganta Gopal Reddy was an Agricultural Scientist, native to the village of Gaddipally. Since his early days in the village, where he had his first schooling, he felt certain that his destiny was to contribute to the development of rural India.
Inspired by Sri Aurobindo’s philosophy and Mother of Sri Aurobindo’s Ashram Puducherry, he set out for the social and economical development of villages.
The Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) are all about empowering rural people and fostering a scientific mindset. Through providing training and access to knowledge and technology in agriculture and allied fields, KVKs help rural communities increase productivity and improve their livelihoods.
We have seven major disciplines – Crop production, Plant protection, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Home Science and Sericulture.
